The City of Boston, as part of a new Percent for Art program, invites artists to submit responses to this Request for Proposals for a public art project to complement 2017/2018 renovations to the Vine Street BCYF center. Proposals should be submitted as written concepts; no design work is requested until the artist is selected.
This RFP is the first of two calls connected to the Vine Street center. The second call will be released in the late winter/early spring and focus on interior wall design and be open to artists working in two-dimensional media.
Call released: Wednesday, November 1, 2017
Deadline for responses: Monday, January 29, 2018 (by midnight EST)
Eligibility: This RFP is open to all professional artists, artisans, architects, landscape architects, or design teams (hereinafter referred to as “the Artist”), with experience in public art, site responsive design, project management, and construction administration. Professionals from the Roxbury neighborhood are particularly encouraged to apply.
